Yerevan Biyan Mausoleum

Yerevan Biyan Mausoleum is a three-thousand-year-old mausoleum of the Ararat kingdom of Van in the southwestern part of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, in the area of the "Yerevan Mall" shopping center.

The tomb dates back to the 8th century BC. It was discovered in March 1984 during the construction works of the Yerevan "Autoaggregate" factory operating in the area.

As a result of the excavations, one cremation jar filled with crushed bones of humans, animals, and birds was found in the crevices of the western wall.

In the eastern alcove, there was a large urn with figurines of a bull's head and a bowl on the bottom of which an imprint with the image of a rabbit was preserved. Several large and small bowls, a jar and a lamp were found in the northeast corner of the tomb.
