Silva Kaputikyan Home- Museum

Silva Kaputikyan’s Home-Museum has been acting since the 3 years anniversary of the poetess’s death, in July of 2009, in that house where she lived for her last 30 years.   The museum is devoted to the exhibition and preservation of the  Armenian  poet  Silva Kaputikyan 's legacy and literary works, consisting of her personal belongings, souvenirs, awards, manuscripts, and books.   Silva Kaputikyan  was an Armenian poet and political activist. One of the best-known Armenian writers of the twentieth century,   she is recognized as "the leading poetess of Armenia"  and "the grand lady of twentieth-century Armenian poetry".     The memorial part of the museum is on the 4th floor, in a part of a 4-room apartment.  The memorial part of the exposition begins from the entrance of the apartment, the second hall is the poetess’s office bedroom, and the third is the living room.   When the poetess was alive, the apartment used to have an open-air balcony, which has becom

Derenik Demirchyan House-Museum

  Derenik Demirchyan House-Museum , a branch of the Museum of Literature and Art  named after Eghishe Charents , has 670 main and about the same amount of scientific subsidiary objects which present the long-standing creative life of the writer.   It is the apartment of the famous writer, playwright, and public figure D. Demirchyan (1877-1956) in Yerevan, where he lived from 1929 until his death. As a House Museum, it acts since 1977.  There the visitors can not get acquainted with the life and work of the Honored Art Worker of the Armenian SSR, prominent writer, and great master of Armenian prose Derenik Demirchyan. The museum consists of a memorial section (cabinet, living room, and bedroom) and an exhibition hall.
